West Ham predicted lineup vs Brentford – Premier League
West Ham host Brentford at the London Stadium in the Premier League this weekend as David Moyes‘ side look to make it four successive victories ahead of the international break.
The Hammers took a big step in their bid for Europa League football after Christmas with a 2-0 win over Rapid Wien in midweek, courtesy of goals from Declan Rice and Said Benrahma.
Meanwhile, Michail Antonio’s stoppage time winner against Leeds last weekend ensured a return to winning ways in the Premier League, as they seek to pile the pressure on the teams above them.
Here’s how West Ham could line up.
Lukasz Fabianski (GK) – The former Arsenal man has made some key stops for West Ham at crucial moments this season.
Ben Johnson (RB) – An impressive display from the 21-year-old against Rapid Wien, Moyes is likely to give the youngster the nod again this weekend with doubts over Coufal’s fitness.
Kurt Zouma (CB) – The Frenchman has proven a fine addition from Chelsea and has been singled out by Moyes for praise in recent weeks.
Angelo Ogbonna (CB) – Afforded the evening off against Rapid Wien in midweek, he should be fresh for the battle with Ivan Toney this weekend.
Aaron Cresswell (LB) – The 31-year-old’s energy will be vital in exploiting Brentford on the flanks.
Declan Rice (DM) – The England international is developing a knack of scoring important European goals and Moyes will hopes that translates onto the domestic scene.
Tomas Soucek (DM) – He has formed a solid partnership with Rice during his time at West Ham and will be key against Brentford’s physical approach.
Pablo Fornals (AM) – The 25-year-old is now a regular fixture in the Spain squad and he will be keen to maintain his consistency at club level.
Jarrod Bowen (RW) – The winger’s pace and trickery will unnerve the Brentford backline.
Michail Antonio (ST) – West Ham’s lack of striking options means Moyes has been unable to rest him in the Europa League, but he remains integral to his side’s attack.
Said Benrahma (LW) – The Algerian international was on the scoresheet in midweek and always poses an attacking threat.
