Brentford predicted lineup vs West Ham – Premier League

Brentford make the trip east to the London Stadium to face West Ham in the Premier League as they look to continue their fine start to the campaign.

Thomas Frank’s side boast the joint-fourth meanest defence in the division so far this season, having conceded only five times, and they sit comfortably inside the top half heading into this weekend’s fixtures.

Three of those goals came in last weekend’s thrilling 3-3 draw with Liverpool, although they will fancy their chances of doing damage at the other end of the pitch with Ivan Toney in such fine form.

Here’s how Brentford could line up.

David Raya (GK) – The 26-year-old’s distribution has stood out this season and he played a key part in Brentford’s dramatic 3-3 draw with Liverpool.

Kristoffer Ajer (CB) – His marauding runs out of the Brentford defence have proven a dangerous weapon and he made a memorable goal line clearance against Liverpool last time out.

Pontus Jansson (CB) – The Sweden international has formed a burgeoning defensive partnership with Ajer and he will be key in stifling Michail Antonio.

Mathias Jorgensen (CB) – Likely to be drafted in with Ethan Pinnock’s involvement in doubt.

Sergi Canos (RWB) – The Spaniard is a fans favourite in west London and he has been given great responsibility under Frank in his time at the club.

Frank Onyeka (CM) – A summer arrival from Midtjylland, the 23-year-old is beginning to find his feet at Brentford.

Christian Norgaard (CM) – The Denmark international offers dynamism in midfield and has developed into a useful aerial threat from set pieces.

Vitaly Janelt (CM) – The 23-year-old netted against Liverpool last weekend and he should retain his place despite the return of Shandon Baptiste from suspension.

Rico Henry (LWB) – His energy should cause West Ham issues on the left hand side, providing a useful outlet on the counter-attack.

Bryan Mbeumo (ST) – The 22-year-old has developed an effective partnership with Toney and West Ham will need to be mindful of his creativity.

Ivan Toney (ST) – Such has been the 25-year-old’s impact in the Premier League that there were eyebrows raised when he was omitted from Gareth Southgate’s England squad this week.
