PSG predicted lineup vs Rennes – Ligue 1
Mauricio Pochettino and Paris Saint-Germain will be looking to continue their astonishing start to the Ligue 1 this season when they face Rennes.
The Parisians have won all eight of the opening league fixtures, scoring a whopping 22 goals – eight more than any other team – while not even really looking at their best yet.
This weekend they face a Rennes side who are struggling for form and sitting just three points clear of the relegation zone.
Here’s how PSG could line up to absolutely thump Rennes this weekend.
Keylor Navas (GK) – Gianluigi Donnarumma is one of the best goalkeepers in the world, and he proved it against Man City in midweek, but Poch likes playing Navas in the league for some reason.
Achraf Hakimi (RB) – The best right-back in the world. Made mince-meat of Jack Grealish in midweek, and will do the same to Kamaldeen Sulemana this weekend.
Marquinhos (CB) – The leader of the defence. When he doesn’t play PSG look hopeless at the back.
Presnel Kimpembe (CB) – He’s one of those ‚has a mistake in him‘ centre-backs, and that doesn’t look to be changing any time soon. However, with Sergio Ramos out injured indefinitely, Kimpembe will continue to start.
Nuno Mendes (LB) – The FM legend has been living up to the hype since joining PSG.
Georginio Wijnaldum (CM) – Marco Verratti is back to full fitness, but with his past being rather chequered with injuries, it’s best to rest him this weekend. In his stead will be Wijnaldum – who isn’t a bad player either, eh?
Danilo Pereira (CM) – After the shift Ander Herrera put in against Man City he deserves a wee break, so Danilo will start.
Angel Di Maria (CM) – Surprisingly didn’t start in midweek, but will undoubtedly come back into the team for the game against Rennes. Despite all the big signings, he’s still one of the best players at the club.
Lionel Messi (RW) – Finally scored for PSG on Wednesday (about time mate). Will probably score six this weekend.
Kylian Mbappe (ST) – Whisper it: *Mbappe hasn’t been great this season*. A lot of that is because of the rumours regarding his future, but still, he needs to do more if PSG are going to win it all this season.
Neymar (LW) – No longer the main man in Paris, Neymar’s still a pretty decent footballer to be fair to him.
