Brighton predicted lineup vs Aston Villa – Premier League

Brighton are aiming to return to winning ways in the Premier League as they welcome Aston Villa to the Amex Stadium.

The Seagulls have won just once in their last seven outings in all competitions, with last weekend’s 3-0 home defeat to relegation battling Burnley proving a particularly bitter pill to swallow.

Graham Potter’s side do, however, remain in the top half of the Premier League and they will be keen to end a winless run on their home turf which stretches back to Boxing Day.

Here’s how the Seagulls could line up this weekend.

Robert Sanchez (GK) – Seven clean sheets in the Premier League this season, with his distribution also proving particularly effective.

Joel Veltman (CB) – It was exactly a year this week since his last goal for Brighton in their 2-1 home defeat to Crystal Palace.

Lewis Dunk (CB) – Brighton felt the pinch of his absence in last weekend’s shock 3-0 home defeat to Burnley. His suspension is over so he should return.

Adam Webster (CB) – Webster should shake off his injury in time to return here. The Seagulls are a considerably more resolute defensive unit with him involved.

Tariq Lamptey (RWB) – When he squares up a defender, it usually spells trouble for the opposition.

Yves Bissouma (CM) – Averaging 2.4 tackles per match for the Seagulls, which is remarkable when you also pair it with his ability on the ball.

Adam Lallana (CM) – Left or right foot, equally capable of producing moments of magic on either side.

Jakub Moder (CM) – No player has created more ‚big chances‘ for Brighton this term than the Pole.

Marc Cucurella (LWB) – For his undoubted quality on the ball, he has teed up only one goal in the league this term.

Danny Welbeck (ST) – A huge aerial threat, which makes the likes of Lamptey and Cucurella’s job that much easier.

Neal Maupay (ST) – The Frenchman has netted twice as many goals (8) as Brighton’s second top goalscorer in the Premier League this season.
