Celtic predicted lineup vs Bodo/Glimt – Europa Conference League
Celtic know they will need to produce something special if they are to make it through to the quarter-final of the Europa Conference League.
After a 3-1 defeat at home to Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt last week, Celtic need an emphatic victory to avoid tumbling out of the competition. Fortunately, Ange Postecoglou has no fresh injury concerns heading into the tie.
Here’s how he could set up.
Joe Hart (GK) – Hart is looking for his 20th clean sheet of the season in all competitions.
Josip Juranovic (RB) – Juranovic fills in on both sides of the Celtic defence but should take up his natural spot on the right.
Cameron Carter-Vickers (CB) – The Tottenham loanee has impressed this season and may well be earning himself a permanent switch to Celtic.
Carl Starfelt (CB) – Practically a permanent fixture in the starting lineup in his debut season in Scotland, deservedly so.
Greg Taylor (LB) – Juranovic’s return to the right means Taylor should start on this side.
Callum McGregor (DM) – Club captain McGregor will anchor Postecoglou’s midfield as usual.
Matt O’Riley (CM) – O’Riley has been brilliant since joining the club in January and looks to be living up to the potential scouts saw in him years ago.
Reo Hatate (CM) – Hatate surprisingly started the first leg on the bench but will be among the first names on the team sheet this time around.
Liel Abada (RW) – Prolific in the Europa League group stage, Celtic need Abada to rediscover that form here.
Georgios Giakoumakis (ST) – The big Greek striker bagged a hat-trick last time out against Dundee and will be rewarded with a start here.
Jota (LW) – Has popped up on the right once or twice recently but should return to his favoured left side for this one.
