James Maddison jarred his knee at the Emirates but is expected to be fit, though Ivan Perisic, Rodrigo Bentancur, Ryan Sessegnon and Bryan Gil are unavailable.

Trent Alexander-Arnold didn’t make the Liverpool squad for Wednesday’s Carabao Cup victory having been sidelined since early October, but the right-back has rejoined first-team training and could pull through in time. Thiago is also absent with a hip problem which has kept him out since April.

Manager Jurgen Klopp is expected to make vast changes from his midweek XI for the trip to London, with Mohamed Salah, Alisson and Virgil van Dijk among those set to return.

Liverpool predicted lineup vs Tottenham (4-3-3): Alisson; Gomez, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson; Szoboszlai, Mac Allister, Jones; Salah, Nunez, Jota

Tottenham played their part in an entertaining 2-2 draw with Arsenal last weekend and more goals and thrills are expected when Liverpool come to town.

Ange Postecoglou has renewed hope and optimism around north London since his summer arrival and has come through his earliest tests against Manchester United and Arsenal with a win and a draw.

Liverpool have won their last four games in all competitions by a 3-1 scoreline, showing their attacking quality but also some defensive deficiencies. Expect an open encounter which could end with the spoils being shared.
