Cesc Fabregas‘ best Barcelona moments – ranked
On August 15, 2011, Cesc Fabregas returned home to Barcelona.
The boyhood Blaugrana fan and La Masia starlet had taken an unconventional journey to the first-team at Camp Nou but made the most of his three years in Catalonia, picking up six trophies to add to his legacy.
Having now announced his retirement, here’s a look back at Fabregas‘ best moments in a Barcelona shirt.

Fabregas‘ time in Barcelona was full of a surprising number of headed goals, but one of his finest efforts was more typical of the diminutive playmaker.
This fierce strike from distance against Sevilla is well worth a watch.
For some reason, there were plenty of critics during Fabregas‘ debut season at Camp Nou, but he silenced them with an excellent showing in the Copa del Rey semi-final against Valencia.
A goal and an assist, from his favourite midfield position, had fans starting to appreciate what he could offer to the team.
The link-up between Fabregas and Lionel Messi is remembered favourably in Barcelona, and the pair combined to tear Osasuna apart in 2011.
Barcelona bagged eight unanswered goals, the finest of which was this excellent volley from the midfielder.
The 2012/13 La Liga title was actually the first league triumph of Fabregas‘ career.
Having grown up as a Barcelona fan, it’s a moment which will have felt particularly special for him.
We all know Fabregas was all about the assists, but to bag five in one game was something unheard of even for him.
Levante were on the receiving end of an absolute masterclass in creativity on the opening day of the 2013/14 season. Barcelona netted seven goals and Fabregas was responsible for all but two of them.
