Barcelona vs Real Betis – La Liga: TV channel, team news, lineups & prediction

Business

Barcelona will seek to bounce back from their shock defeat to Rayo Vallecano when Real Betis head to Camp Nou on Saturday.

The 2-1 slip-up fortunately caused no damage in the La Liga title race as Real Madrid were thumped by Girona 24 hours earlier, but the performance showed a drop in quality which Xavi will be keen to ensure does not happen again.

Betis will be looking to pile on the misery as they eye their own push for the top four. The visitors currently sit sixth, six points behind Real Sociedad, so every point is crucial at this point.

Here’s all you need to know about this one.

Barcelona team news

The big news for Barcelona is the returns of both Ousmane Dembele and Andreas Christensen to the matchday squad. The former has missed around three months with a thigh injury, while the latter has spent the past month recovering from his own injury, but both are back in contention.

Sergio Busquets is also back available after missing the Rayo game through suspension, leaving just Sergi Roberto as the team’s only absentee.

15-year-old Lamine Yamal remains in the squad and can still become Barcelona’s youngest-ever player if he features.

(4-3-3): Ter Stegen; Kounde, Araujo, Alonso, Alba; Busquets, De Jong, Pedri; Raphinha, Lewandowski, Gavi

Real Betis team news

Victor Ruiz, Juanmi, Youssouf Sabaly and Nabil Fekir all remain unavailable for Manuel Pellegrini’s side.

The boss may opt to make some changes after going two games without a win, with top scorer Borja Iglesias likely to return and start.

Rayo may have shown the blueprint to beating Barcelona but the reality is that the Blaugrana will likely bounce back with a victory on home soil.

Robert Lewandowski rediscovered his shooting boots last time out and that could be key to Barcelona’s chances of victory here.

Betis aren’t the most prolific scorers around, and with the extra work that will undoubtedly have been done on that end at the training ground, expect Barcelona to secure another low-scoring victory.

Prediction: Barcelona 1-0 Real Betis
