Alessia Russo reveals the importance of music to her game as Beats ambassador

Manchester United and England striker Alessia Russo has been unveiled as the newest Beats ambassador for Beats by Dre, with music a huge part of her training and pre-match routine.

Russo shot to fame in a breakout year with Manchester United last season, before becoming a household name during the summer for her role in England’s Euro 2022 triumph.

She scored four goals at the tournament – including a backheel in the semi-final against Sweden that earned her a nomination for the 2022 FIFA Puskas Award.

In her first campaign as a Beats ambassador, Russo models the latest colours of Beats Fit Pro in Coral Pink, Volt Yellow and Tidal Blue.

The 24-year-old uses music as part of her preparations before a game, helping her get into the right frame of mind to perform in vital moments.

“I use music to get into the zone when I’m training or before games,” Russo said. “I like songs that get me amped up but also have a few more chilled out songs when I need to stay level headed.”
