The best bargains to sign in Football Manager 2023
We can’t all have the luxury of splashing out £50m or £60m on a backup right-back to bolster our squads on Football Manager 2023.
Many teams are strapped for cash these days and need to be smart about their signings, but there are plenty of bargains to be found on FM23 with a little digging.
Here’s a look at one bargain signing for every position.
Any seasoned FM player will be well aware of Nubel by this point. ‚Baby Manuel Neuer‘ is out on loan with Monaco but Bayern Munich are prepared to sell him immediately for as little as £3.1m.
He’s 25 years old with excellent reflexes, and he’d be an excellent signing for a team on a budget.
23-year-old Alvarez is hardly a household name but boasts the sort of stats which could easily make him one a few years down the line.
For the modest sum of £1.8m, you can pick up a full-back who has 14 for passing, tackling and dribbling, so you know you’re getting a modern defender there.
Whatever your personal opinion of Mustafi may be, the reality is he boasts some outstanding stats for a centre-back on FM.
His concentration is a little off but as a pure defender, he’s everything you need and can be picked up for around £5.75m
Munoz has a £10m release clause but you shouldn’t worry about that as he can be signed for £3m instead.
A well-rounded option, Munoz’s 16 work rate should make him very easy to use in any tactical setup.
The bargain option here is Esposito, who will set you back around £3m.
A ball winning midfielder with respectable stats across the board, the 21-year-old looks like he has the potential to grow into a real monster in this position.
You’ll struggle to find anybody with better passing than Evander for his price tag of £3.5m.
The Brazilian does have some underwhelming mental stats but, from a technical perspective, he’s out of this world. For a smaller team on the budget, you can’t really afford to pass up that sort of quality.
At £2.3m, Quintero is one of the biggest bargains on the game. Just look at those stats.
The River creator has some outrageous stats in nearly every area you’d look for in this position, and you won’t have to break the bank to get him.
We’ll be honest, the bargain market is a little dry when it comes to right wingers, but Roberts is a player who you just can’t ignore.
For as little as £70,000, you can sign Roberts from Sunderland. He’s not going to win you the Champions League, but for that sort of money and in the right team, he could be a massive boost.
If you can wait 12 months, put a bid in now for Rony Lopes of Sevilla. A bid of £575,000 will see him join when his loan with Troyes is over.
Another FM, another year of urging you to sign Jose Juan Macias.
The young Mexican is just waiting for a big move to Europe and can be yours for as little as £5m.
If you can’t afford everyone’s favourite new wonderkid, Andreas Schjelderup, then £2.2m will buy you a favourite of FM legend, Pione Sisto.
Now 27, Sisto has some excellent dribbling stats and a keen eye for an assist.
