This season’s competition will again feature a group stage, after it was introduced for the first time last term.
Here’s everything you need to know about the 2022/23 Women’s Champions League draw.
There are 16 teams in the Women’s Champions League group stage draw. These teams will be divided into four pots, and drawn into four groups.
As winners of their respective leagues, Barcelona, Chelsea, Lyon and Wolfsburg have automatically qualified for the 2022/23 Champions League group stages. These four sides have been placed into pot 1 for the draw.
The remaining 12 teams have progressed through the various qualification rounds and will have their group stage place confirmed by Thursday 29 September. They will be placed into pots 2, 3 and 4 for the draw. Pots 2,3 and 4 are determined by club coefficient ranking.
Pot 1
The first matchdays of the 2022/23 Women’s Champions League will take place on Wednesday 19 and Thursday 20 October. Each team plays six matches, with the final match round taking place on Wednesday 21 and Thursday 22 December.
This season’s Women’s Champions League final will be take place at Philips Stadion in Eindhoven. The stadium holds 36,500 fans, and is the home of PSV Eindhoven.
When is the 2022/23 Women’s Champions League final?
The Women’s Champions League final will take place on 3 or 4 June 2023.
