Ajax have had an eight day gap between their last outing and Wednesday’s fixture, having not been in league action over the weekend.
Jonas Eidevall confirmed he has a fully fit squad to pick from for the fixture. Mana Iwabuchi missed the home leg due to illness, but returned to the squad for Arsenal’s north London derby victory on Saturday.
Ajax (4-5-1): Kop; Verhoeve, Sanders, Doorn, Kardinal; Spitse, Weerden, Pelova, Sabajo, Grant; Leuchter.
Arsenal (4-3-3): Zinsberger; Maritz, Rafaelle, Williamson, McCabe; Walti, Little, Miedema; Mead, Blackstenius, Foord.
Ajax provided a tough, physical test for Arsenal last time out, and there was ultimately nothing to separate the two sides.
Jonas Eidevall spoke ahead of the weekend’s north London derby about how Tottenham’s physicality could act as beneficial preparation for the Ajax clash, having experienced a relatively straightforward victory over 10-player Brighton ahead of the first leg. The Gunners should just edge it to book their place in the Champions League group stages.
