Barcelona hold fresh talks with Leeds over Raphinha transfer

Barcelona are refusing to give up on Raphinha and have held fresh talks with Leeds United, 90min understands.

Chelsea are currently in pole position to sign the Brazilian as they are the only one of his suitors to have agreed a deal with Leeds, which is worth around £60m.

Arsenal were in talks too, but they have not yet matched the Blues‘ offer and it remains to be seen if they will.

Meanwhile, Barcelona have been locked in talks with Raphinha’s agent, Deco, for months.

Upon Chelsea’s bid being accepted they offered terms themselves, but as yet a deal has not been hammered out. Recently, Deco has been in Catalunya talking with Barcelona chiefs, confirming his client’s demands.

Sources close to Leeds have confirmed that Barça have made fresh contact and even made a new offer – but as it stands their proposals are still some way short of what is on offer at Chelsea.

Raphinha is now considering his options, which includes the possibility of rejecting a move to Chelsea and sealing what is understood to be his preferred move to the Camp Nou.

However, sources have indicated to 90min that Leeds believe that Raphinha’s market value is correct at £60m and are happy to stand firm at that price.
