Liverpool predicted lineup vs Real Madrid – Champions League
Liverpool will look to complete a treble of trophies this Saturday when they take on Real Madrid in the Champions League final.
The Carabao Cup and FA Cup winners may have fallen short in the Premier League but they come into this one feeling good about their chances of winning a second European title in three years, although there are a handful of fitness worries for Jurgen Klopp to address.
Here’s how the Reds could set up.
GK: Alisson – Alisson has four clean sheets to his name in this season’s Champions League and needs one here if he is to tie Edouard Mendy at the top of the standings.
RB: Trent Alexander-Arnold – The creative maestro could be crucial to forcing Real’s back line into a mistake or two.
CB: Joel Matip – Ibrahima Konate didn’t cover himself in glory last time out against Wolves and should return to the bench.
CB: Virgil van Dijk – Fit enough to return to the bench for the Wolves game and should be ready to start here.
LB: Andy Robertson – Hasn’t been on top form for the past few weeks but still somehow manages to make a difference.
DM: Fabinho – Fabinho has been nursing an injury but is back in training and should be raring to go.
CM: Jordan Henderson – The Brazilian’s return should allow Henderson to move slightly further forward in midfield.
CM: Naby Keita – Thiago is battling an Achilles injury that, although not serious, might prevent him from starting.
RW: Mohamed Salah – The final injury issue, Salah came off the bench and scored against Wolves, so all the signs suggest he’ll be given the full 90 here.
ST: Sadio Mane – The only question is whether Mane will play in the centre or out wide.
LW: Luis Diaz – Quietly becoming the second star of this Liverpool attack, which could be especially important as Mane refuses to discuss his future.
