‚Miles off it!‘: Jack Grealish rinses Bernardo Silva during Man City’s title parade

In the immediate aftermath of Manchester City’s Premier League title win, Sky pundit Roy Keane was pitchside and managed to get a few words with England forward Jack Grealish.

In classic Keane style, the former Manchester United midfielder told the Englishman: „Keep off the top shelf! Stick with beer.“ Textbook, right?

In fairness, Keane soon added: „Enjoy it, Jack, enjoy it, why not. Fantastic, well done.“

City’s squad have needed little convincing in celebrating their fourth title win in five seasons, with pictures and videos of the players enjoying their Sunday night and open-top bus parade in style going viral.

However, had they continued playing poorly in their final league game of the season against Grealish’s former side Aston Villa on Sunday, they might not have been celebrating at all.

The Citizens were 2-0 down by the 69th minute due to goals from Matty Cash and Philippe Coutinho, with a number of City stars off the pace.

Fernandinho, Riyad Mahrez and Bernardo Silva were all hooked after poor performances, with Raheem Sterling, Oleksandr ZInchenko and Ilkay Gundogan coming on to make the difference as City made a stunning comeback to win 3-2.

One of those in particular drew the ire of Grealish during City’s bus parade.

In the company of the laughing Kyle Walker and John Stones, he quipped: „It’s been brilliant to win my first title. I want to thank everyone, but the main person I want to thank is Bernardo Silva for coming off in the 70th minute because he was miles off it yesterday!“

It’s fair to say Bernardo might not be organising a summer holiday with Jack, who remained on the bench for Sunday’s game.

Judging by that croaky voice, Grealish has done a fair bit of shouting and partying already, and he and his teammates won’t be done for a while.
