Donate to help young people in the north west of Ireland realise their full potential

The Premier League and iconic strikers go hand in hand. Thierry Henry. Alan Shearer. Ruud van Nistelrooy. The list goes on and on.

There’s no shortage of lethal goalscorers in England’s top flight right now, either.

This week our list of the 10 best forwards in the Premier League is powered by 90min’s ‚Football Tackles‘ charity of the week: the Ryan McBride Foundation.

The Ryan McBride Foundation help young people in the north west of Ireland realise their full potential by identifying key areas where it believes it can assist these young people.

Be it through providing local clubs with football kits, training gear and equipment, working in partnership with Derry City to provide coaching and mentoring young players on an entirely cross-community basis, or their Ryan McBride Schools Cup tournament for primary school children in the city, the Foundation has sought to give children access to sport and impact upon their social and life-skills.

After a lot of internal canvassing at 90min HQ (mainly by Graeme Bailey), Phil Foden has finally cemented his place on this list.

However, he was rested at the weekend as City were held by West Ham, so he has to stick around the bottom for now.

Gabriel Jesus has cooled off a little after a recent resurgence, while Man City’s move for Erling Haaland has casted further doubt on his future (which his agent has since played up and revealed talks with Arsenal have occurred).

He drew a blank at the weekend, but hey, at least he played.

Watford made it very easy for Jamie Vardy to grab another two goals and climb above Raheem Sterling in the English goalscoring charts this year.

He was frustrated against Chelsea later in the week, but that was largely due to a lack of service behind him.

April’s Player of the Month award winner, Cristiano Ronaldo has had some time off recently as the rest of the league play catch-up to Manchester United in the fixture column.

He needs to have his scoring boots on this weekend as United push to secure a spot in the Europa League.

For a split second, it looked like Jarrod Bowen could signle-handedly shift the dynamic in the Premier League title race.

The West Ham man put two great goals past Man City but, unfortunately for him, his side just couldn’t hold on.

It didn’t take too long for Luis Diaz to get his name on this list, did it?

The Liverpool man has been outstanding since moving to the Premier League in January and got his first taste of silverware as the Reds saw off Chelsea in the FA Cup final.

11 league goals last season was a bit of a disappointing return for Sadio Mane, which shows just how far he’s progressed at Anfield in recent years.

He looks back to his best this season, however, having already bagged 15 Premier League goals and winning the Africa Cup of Nations. Nice one.

Mohamed Salah has been truly incredible since joining Liverpool from Roma in 2017, putting up terrifying numbers year after year, and he seems to only be getting better.

Goals haven’t been as frequent in the past few weeks as you might expect, while a recent injury has temporarily clipped Salah’s wings.

When you need Harry Kane, he’s always there.

Spurs weren’t at their best this weekend but up stepped the superstar striker to convert from the penalty spot to bring his side to within touching distance of a return to the Champions League.

Son Heung-min has been the man in form as of late.

At the start of the season when it looked like Kane could be on his way out of north London, Son stepped up to become Tottenham’s leading light.

With excellent returns across the last six seasons, the South Korean is one of the Premier League’s most reliable forwards, scoring an important goal in Spurs‘ hard-earned draw at Liverpool.
