Celtic predicted lineup vs Rangers – Scottish Premiership
Celtic could all but seal the Scottish Premiership title as they host Rangers at Celtic Park in the third Old Firm Derby in a month.
The Hoops sit six points clear at the summit of the table with four games remaining as they close in on wrestling the title back from their bitter rivals.
Revenge will also be at play for Ange Postecoglou’s side after Rangers ran out victorious in the Scottish Cup semi-finals at Hampden two weeks ago.
With that in mind, here’s how Celtic could line up.
Joe Hart (GK) – Has proven a shrewd addition from Tottenham, playing infront of a defence which tends to give up very few chances.
Anthony Ralston (RB) – Injury to Josip Juranovic has opened the door for the Scotland international to re-establish his place.
Cameron Carter-Vickers (CB) – Bizarrely overlooked in the Player of the Year nominees after a flawless debut campaign.
Carl Starfelt (CB) – Netted an unfortunate own goal against Rangers in the Scottish Cup semi-final meeting earlier this month.
Greg Taylor (LB) – Has developed into an assured and dependable full back under Postecoglou this season.
Callum McGregor (CM) – Likely to take home the Scottish Premiership Player of the Year award, such has been his influence this season.
Tom Rogic (CM) – Tends to reserve his best performances for these derby encounters.
Reo Hatate (CM) – Admittedly recently that he has been struggling with fatigue after arriving from the J-League mid-season.
Jota (RW) – The Hoops faithful will be keen to see him back at Celtic Park next season on a permanent deal after having a hand in 17 goals in the Scottish Premiership this term.
Kyogo (ST) – Back on the goal trail after his opener in Celtic’s 2-0 win at Ross County last weekend.
Daizen Maeda (LW) – Indefatigable energy in attack, although he struggled against the Gers at Hampden earlier this month.
