The Premier League and iconic strikers go hand in hand. Thierry Henry. Alan Shearer. Ruud van Nistelrooy. The list goes on and on.

There’s no shortage of lethal goalscorers in England’s top flight right now, either.

This week our list of the 10 best forwards in the Premier League is powered by 90min’s ‚Football Tackles‘ charity of the week: Alive and Kicking.

Alive and Kicking believe a football can make a difference throughout its lifecycle. They are the world’s only not-for-profit football manufacturer and their ethically produced footballs empower and strengthen communities in a number of different ways – creating access to ethical jobs, play and vital health education.

A new entry! Yes, this late in the season we have a new entry.

And it’s deserved one because Gabriel Jesus scored four goals in a single game at the weekend, then followed that up with a goal against Real Madrid in midweek.

Back in the rankings after a lengthy absence, Cristiano Ronaldo has earned his spot with seven goals in his last four Premier League games.

Which, by all accounts, is pretty damn impressive.

After a lot of internal canvassing at 90min HQ (mainly by Graeme Bailey), Phil Foden has finally cemented his place on this list.

And he has because, well, he’s been brilliant in 2022.

It didn’t take too long for Luis Diaz to get his name on this list, did it?

The Liverpool man has been outstanding since moving to the Premier League in January.

11 goals in 13 starts.
Second best minutes per goal in the Premier League.

The stats speak for themselves, Riyad Mahrez is absolutely fantastic.

Liverpool knew they were getting an excellent player when they brought in Diogo Jota from Wolves last season, but did they think he’d be this good?

Probably not. Jota has already bettered his league goal tally from last season this time around with 15 to his name.

At the start of the season when it looked like Harry Kane could be on his way out of north London, Son Heung-min stepped up to become Tottenham’s leading light.

With excellent returns across the last six seasons, the South Korean is one of the Premier League’s most reliable forwards.

Sadio ManeSadio Mane

11 league goals last season was a bit of a disappointing return for Sadio Mane, which shows just how far he’s progressed at Anfield in recent years.

He looks back to his best this season, however, having already bagged 14 Premier League goals and winning the Africa Cup of Nations. Nice one.

A tumultuous summer didn’t seem to have done much for Kane’s goalscoring form this season.

And then he went and put in a career-best performance against Manchester City. Then he followed that up with starring roles against Leeds, Everton, West Ham, Brighton and Newcastle. He finally looks back to his best in 2022.

Mohamed SalahMohamed Salah

There can’t be any debates about top spot here, right? Mohamed Salah has been truly incredible since joining Liverpool from Roma in 2017, putting up terrifying numbers year after year, and he seems to only be getting better.

The Egyptian can score all types of goals and is the star attraction in an excellent Reds side. Right now, there’s nobody in the Premier League who can touch him.
