Everton vs Arsenal – WSL: TV channel, live stream, team news & prediction
Arsenal will be looking to keep the pressure up on WSL leaders Chelsea when they return to league action with a trip to Everton on Sunday.
The Gunners could find themselves four points behind the Blues by the time they take to the field at Walton Hall Park on Sunday evening, with Emma Hayes‘ Chelsea kicking off earlier in the afternoon.
They face an Everton side playing their first match since Brian Sorensen was confirmed as their new permanent manager for next season, and looking to end a run of five games without a win in all competitions.
When is kick off? Sunday 24 April, 18:45 (BST)
Where is the match being played? Walton Hall Park
TV channel/live stream? Sky Sports Main Event (UK), FA Player (international)
Highlights? Sky Sports Football YouTube, BBC Sport website
Referee? Kirsty Dowle
Anna Anvegard is available to return for Everton, having been absent since March due to a head injury. Simone Magill is fully fit once more, but Claire Emslie is a doubt with an ongoing niggle.
Rafaelle remains a doubt for Arsenal, having not featured for the Gunners since 6 March due to injury. Leah Williamson and Lotte Wubben-Moy could continue as Arsenal’s centre back pairing in Rafaelle’s absence – Wubben-Moy is fresh from signing a new contract with the club.
Everton: MacIver; Turner, Bjorn, Finnigan, George, Pattinson; Galli, Christiansen; Dali, Duggan, Anvegard.
Arsenal: Zinsberger; Maritz, Williamson, Wubben-Moy, Catley; Walti, Little, Miedema; Mead, Blackstenius, Foord.
Their shock defeat to Birmingham aside, Arsenal have not tended to slip up against teams in the lower echelons of the WSL this season.
Everton could play with the freedom of a team with nothing at stake, but have struggled against the league’s elite this season. So a win for the Gunners is expected to maintain their title challenge.
Prediction: Everton 0-2 Arsenal
