Juventus predicted lineup vs Empoli – Serie A

Juventus travel to face Empoli as the Old Lady look to strengthen their top four credentials in Serie A.

The Bianconeri produced their third successive 1-1 draw in midweek when Dani Parejo cancelled out Dusan Vlahovic’s opener in the first leg of their Champions League last 16 clash with Villarreal.

Juventus are unbeaten in the league since November, although back-to-back draws with Atalanta and Torino have dented their bid to close the gap on the top three teams in Serie A.

Here’s how Juve could line up this weekend.

Wojciech Szczesny (GK) – After a very shaky start to the campaign he has steadied himself to return to his best form.

Danilo (RB) – It was the Brazilian’s perfectly-weighted pass which sent Vlahovic through to open the scoring in midweek.

Leonardo Bonucci (CB) – His return from injury in midweek will be a huge boost to Massimiliano Allegri.

Matthijs de Ligt (CB) – Beginning to produce his best form since arriving at Juventus.

Mattia De Sciglio (LB) – Provides defensive stability as he won’t look to overlap with great regularity.

Denis Zakaria (CM) – The January arrival is likely to come into the side to replace the injured Weston McKennie.

Manuel Locatelli (CM) – Expected to play a slightly more advanced role with McKennie set to miss the game.

Adrien Rabiot (CM) – Made a huge error in allowing Villarreal to level in midweek, allowing Dani Parejo to ghost into the penalty box unmarked.

Juan Cuadrado (RW) – No Juventus player has played more key passes (1.5) in Serie A than the Colombian.

Dusan Vlahovic (ST) – Netted just 32 seconds into his Champions League, underlining his superstar talent.

Alvaro Morata (LW) – Does a lot of work off the ball and he looks more confident with the goalscoring burden having eased with the arrival of Vlahovic.
