Tottenham confident Tanguy Ndombele will join PSG on loan

Tottenham are confident a loan deal that will see Tanguy Ndombele offloaded to Paris Saint-Germain can be completed before Monday’s transfer deadline.

Ndombele is Spurs‘ record signing, having cost them £55m back in 2019, but he has struggled with fitness issues and a lack of form. The Frenchman hasn’t been included in a matchday squad since being booed off the pitch during the FA Cup victory over Morecambe earlier this month.

Now, he is set to be reunited with Mauricio Pochettino by completing a loan move to PSG, 90min understands.

Pochettino originally took Ndombele to north London as Tottenham looked to build on their run to the Champions League final, though neither he nor Giovani Lo Celso have managed to make themselves pivotal players under Antonio Conte.

Lo Celso and the ostracised Dele Alli are both available for moves in the next few days, though whether that pair and Ndombele will all seal an exit remains to be seen.

It’s expected to be a busy few days for Spurs as the deadline approaches. The club are yet to make a signing despite Conte admitting they needed to „do something“ during the window, and former top target Adama Traore will not be joining the club as he is set to return to Barcelona.

However, there remains optimism that Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat will join on loan with an option to buy. Tottenham are also pursuing Porto forward Luis Diaz, with the two clubs negotiating over a transfer fee.

The 25-year-old Colombia international has a release clause of around £70m, though Porto could be convinced by an offer of £50m.
