Crystal Palace predicted lineup vs Aston Villa – Premier League

Crystal Palace welcome Aston Villa to Selhurst Park in the Premier League this weekend looking to maintain their unbeaten home record this term.

Palace have lost just twice this season under Vieira – away to Chelsea and Liverpool – and have turned Selhurst Park back into a fortress with the club nestled inside the top half of the table.

They showed the ugly side to their game at Turf Moor last weekend in a frantic 3-3 draw, with Christian Benteke’s recent form cause for optimism among the Palace faithful heading into this weekend.

Here’s how they could line up.

Vicente Guaita (GK) – A solid keeper for Palace over the years, capable of the spectacular when required.

Joel Ward (RB) – Offers greater defensive protection on the right hand side.

Joachim Andersen (CB) – Distributes excellently, showing an exceptional range of passing each week.

Marc Guehi (CB) – Netted last weekend against Burnley, but it’s been his defensive displays this season which have caught the eye.

Tyrick Mitchell (LB) – Still only 22, the future is bright for the full-back under the guidance of Vieira.

Luka Milivojevic (CM) – Keeps Crystal Palace ticking at the base of the midfield.

Cheikhou Kouyate (CM) – Big shoes to fill in the absence of James McArthur to injury, but he boasts the attributes to help offset the loss of the Scot.

Conor Gallagher (AM) – Going from strength to strength this season with his energy and creativity in midfield.

Jordan Ayew (RW) – He will rarely make the highlight reel, but his hard work and link-up play on the right hand side is crucial to Palace.

Christian Benteke (ST) – Enjoying a renaissance under Vieira, showing a clinical edge to his game in recent weeks.

Wilfried Zaha (LW) – Seems to be loving Vieira’s possession-heavy approach with more bodies to support him in the final third.
