Juventus predicted lineup vs Torino – Serie A

Business

Ninth and tenth place take on one another in Serie A this weekend as Juventus host Torino at the Stadio Olimpico.

As you can tell by the ’ninth and tenth place‘ things haven’t exactly gone to plan for Juve this season so far – while Torino have steadied the ship on the other side of Turin.

Juve went winless in their first four league games, before finally finding some form in the past week or so, beating Spezia, Sampdoria and Chelsea.

To keep this mini-revival going, here’s the team Max Allegri should field for the Derby della Mole on Saturday.

Wojciech Szczesny (GK) – Finally kept a clean sheet on Wednesday night, and will be hoping for another this weekend.

Danilo (RB) – He’s not the greatest footballer in the world, but he’s alright, and he’s all Juve really have at right-back now that Juan Cuadrado is back further up the field.

Leonardo Bonucci (CB) – The win over Chelsea was Bonucci’s first good performance since the Euros; and boy was it needed. If Juve are going to do anything this season, he needs to perform at that level more consistently.

Matthijs de Ligt (CB) – The Dutchman’s been quite solid recently, even chipping in with a goal.

Alex Sandro (LB) – Nowhere near the player he was when he first joined Juventus, but like Danilo, he’s all they have at left-back so he’ll have to do.

Juan Cuadrado (RM) – Probably Juve’s most consistent performer over the last 18 months. When he’s fit, he plays.

Manuel Locatelli (CM) – My god did this club need a player like Locatelli. By far and away the best midfielder on the books and it’s not even remotely close.

Rodrigo Bentancur (CM) – Finally re-finding some form and confidence under Allegri. Keep it up and he might be, dare I say, quite good again, in the near future.

Adrien Rabiot (LM) – Facing a race against time to be fit for the derby. Will it be a good thing if he’s fit enough to play? Not for me to say…*

*it won’t, he’s awful.

Moise Kean (ST) – Was surprisingly excluded from the lineup for the Chelsea game – considering he was literally the only striker available – but will get a chance from the start this weekend.

Federico Chiesa (ST) – Inarguably the best player in Italy right now, Chiesa is as impossible to defend against as they come – as Chelsea found out the hard way on Wednesday.
