Bayern Munich predicted lineup vs Hertha Berlin – Bundesliga

A free scoring Bayern Munich will take on a hapless Hertha Berlin at the Allianz Arena on Saturday evening.

After fighting through the growing pains of adapting to Julian Nagelsmann’s playing style, the Bavarians have found form after lifting the DFL-Supercup and demolishing Bremer SV 12-0 in the DFB Pokal.

Munich will also be boosted by their recent record breaking goal scoring run, which has seen the Bavarians setting a new record for goals in consecutive games among teams playing in Europe’s top five leagues, per UEFA coefficient.

They will be facing a winless Hertha Berlin, who are stranded at the bottom of the Bundesliga table.

With Bayern overwhelming favourites for this game, this is the team Nagelsmann is expected to name.

Manuel Neuer (GK) – The 35-year-old has not kept a clean sheet this season in the Bundesliga. He will be hoping to rectify that on Saturday.

Josip Stanišić (RB) – While Hertha maybe winless, they have found the net in the three competitive games that they have played this season. Stanišić will be well aware of their threat.

Niklas Süle (CB) – The German defender is a man for all positions. Against a desperate Hertha team, having such versatility is vital.

Dayot Upamecano (CB) – The 22-year-old is still finding his feat in Bavaria, and there’s no better team to lay down a marker against than a struggling Hertha side.

Alphonso Davies (LB) – The Canadian full-back expressed hope this week that Nagelsmann can lead Bayern to another sextuple in the future. To achieve such a feat, victories against clubs like Hertha are needed.

Joshua Kimmich (CM) – Fresh from signing a new deal at Bayern Munich, Kimmich will want to celebrate with a strong showing in midfield on Saturday.

Leon Goretzka (CM) – The German’s future has been repeatedly questioned in recent weeks, with Manchester United reportedly interested in him. Now, with talk of a new deal at Munich, he will want to lay down a marker this week.

Thomas Müller (CAM) – Germany’s most decorated football player loves games against the likes of Hertha Berlin, where he can drift around, create space, and play through one of Bayern’s other forwards.

Serge Gnabry (RW) – Two goals against FC Köln saw the winger open his tally for the 2021/22 season. Gnabry will be looking to increase this on Saturday against a leaking Hertha defence.

Robert Lewandowski (ST) – The Polish striker has already scored four times in his three competitive outings this season. Lewandowski is in inspired form and should let loose on Saturday afternoon.

Leory Sane (LW) – It hasn’t been an easy start to the season for the winger. There’s no better team to play at present than Hertha Berlin however, who are leaking in goals.
