Paris Saint-Germain are prepared to accept Real Madrid’s €180m bid for wantaway forward Kylian Mbappe.

Mbappe has made it clear to those in charge at PSG that he is prepared to leave for free when his contract expires next summer, and with the transfer window closing, they are now open to the idea of selling the 22-year-old.

As confirmed by 90min, Real first failed with a €160m but quickly returned with a second offer which met the €180m asking price of PSG director Leonardo, who urged those in charge at the Parc des Princes to accept it and move on from the whole saga.

Well, according to Marca, Leonardo has got his wish as PSG have decided to accept the bid…but only after they give Mbappe one final chance to stay.

Leonardo is prepared to make one final appeal to Mbappe, but there is an acceptance that it will all be in vain as the Frenchman has his heart set on a move to Real, so the bid is likely to be accepted on Friday.

Should the offer be approved, Real could even announce it on the same day and bring Mbappe over to Spain to sign his deal before jetting off for the international break.

Real president Florentino Perez has been completely fixated with signing Mbappe for years now and has been waiting for the 22-year-old to enter the final year of his contract, when his asking price would drop to something he sees as ‚affordable‘.

Tipped to cost over £300m a few years ago, Mbappe is now likely to cost around half that, which Perez seemingly sees as a bargain for a club who have been very public about their fears that football’s finances are unsustainable.

Real have not paid to sign a player since their £47m acquisition of left-back Ferland Mendy in the summer of 2019, instead saving up money to launch this bid for Mbappe, and it appears as though their patience has paid off.
