Erling Haaland says he is ‚respectful‘ of Borussia Dortmund contract
Erling Haaland says he remains respectful of his contract with Borussia Dortmund, with the striker the subject of transfer interest from a number of top sides throughout Europe.
The 20-year-old is one of European football’s most revered talents and continued the hot goalscoring form he enjoyed with RB Salzburg when he joined Borussia Dortmund in January 2020.
While BVB remain insistent he will not be leaving the Westfalenstadion, sides like Manchester City, Manchester United and Real Madrid have long been linked and could test the Bundesliga club’s resolve this summer. Haaland’s representatives – agent Mino Raiola and father Alf Inge – went on a European tour in April to meet with interested parties.

Haaland is under contract until 2024 and is thought to have a buyout clause of £66m which comes into play in the summer of 2022. Speaking to Norwegian outlet Viaplay Football, Haaland reiterated his commitment towards that contract.
He said: „Well, I have a contract for a couple of fine years, so I am respectful towards my contract.“
Haaland scored twice in the DFB-Pokal final as Edin Terzic’s side made light work of RB Leipzig to secure silverware and the first major trophy for the forward since his move across the German Austrian border.
However, Dortmund remain some way short of challenging German giants Bayern Munich at the top of the Bundesliga and needed a late charge of excellent form to get them over the line in the race for Champions League qualification.
He added: „Like I have said before, I’m a big fan of the Champions League and I think everybody knows that. It was a relief to secure that spot. It was really important.
„I am a simple guy. When I like something, I just want to have more. When I score a goal, I always chase the next goal.
„I have big dreams. I just won my first major trophy and it was a great feeling. So I want to win trophies.“
