Jadon Sancho’s stance on Chelsea transfer ‚revealed‘ amid reports of Juventus agreement
Jadon Sancho is reported to be holding out for an offer from Chelsea as he weighs up his options to leave Manchester United this summer.
Despite repairing his relationship with Erik ten Hag and returning to the United squad this season, Sancho remains available for transfer and has found himself linked with a move to Chelsea as part of a deal which would take Raheem Sterling to Old Trafford in exchange.
Several reports have discussed Sancho’s willingness to join Chelsea – the winger was a self-confessed Blues fan as a child – and The Guardian state he would prefer a move to Stamford Bridge over fellow suitors Juventus.
Juventus are chasing Sancho’s signature as they seek to rebuild their attack under new manager Thiago Motta. Nico Gonzalez has joined from Fiorentina but, following Federico Chiesa’s move to Liverpool are on the hunt for another winger.
Sancho is seen as a potential opportunity in the market and the Serie A side are in talks over what is believed to be an initial loan proposal.
RMC Sport go one step further and state Juventus and United have already reached an agreement over a loan which would include an obligation to make the move permanent next summer.
As of yet, however, Sancho’s future remains up in the air as Chelsea and United continue their complicated negotiations.
Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca was asked about Sancho and whether he would be happy to sign another winger this summer.
„If we have to sign a player just for signing, I don’t want it,“ Maresca stressed.
„But if we can sign a player who can help us, for sure I want it. I know Jadon very well from many years with [Manchester] City. I know him very well. But he is not our player. We will see what happens.“
