LA Galaxy predicted lineup vs FC Dallas – MLS
Major League Soccer action rolls on with LA Galaxy playing host to FC Dallas Wednesday evening at Dignity Health Sports Park.
The Galaxy finally managed to take home three points after a run of fun matches without a single victory. Greg Vanney’s side triumphed 2-1 over Houston Dynamo at the weekend, with goals from stars Riqui Puig and Gabriel Pec sealing the comeback win in Los Angeles.
Vanney’s team will have the chance to get another positive result as they welcome another Texan club to town in the form of Dallas. It’s been a difficult season for Dallas, as they’ve managed just 13 points from 13 matches while sitting in 12th place in the Western Conference.
It appears as if the points are there for the taking for the Galaxy due to the talent at Vanney’s disposal. Stars like Puig, Pec and Dejan Joveljic could find lots of joy against a middle-of-the-pack Dallas defense in Vanney’s 4-3-3 system.
Here’s how the five-time MLS Cup winners could lineup vs Dallas.
GK: John McCarthy – The experienced figure has no choice but to put in a better shift Wednesday night after his poor showing against Houston.
RB: Miki Yamane – Yamane was excellent last time out, playing his part in the team’s win againt the Dynamo by dishing out an assist.
CB: Maya Yoshida – The Galaxy’s captain anchors the backline and has proven to be reliable, starting all 15 of LA’s matches in the 2024 season.
CB: Jalen Neal – He returns to the XI after getting a bit of a rest against Houston in which he watched on from the dugout.
LB: Julian Aude – The 21-year-old full-back keeps his place in the team after an average performance at the weekend.
CM: Edwin Cerrillo – Cerrillo slots in the midfield three while Marco Delgado gets a chance to catch his breath.
CM: Gaston Brugman – He’ll look to keep things in check in the midfield by protecting the backline against the likes of Petar Musa and Jesus Ferreira.
CM: Riqui Puig – The former Barcelona player was on point Saturday night as he found the winner midway through the second half.
RW: Gabriel Pec – LA’s tricky winger impressed in the win over Houston with a goal and an assist and will aim to replicate that performance against Dallas.
ST: Dejan Joveljic – He’s gone two consecutive matches without finding the back of the net but will look to change that this week.
LW: Diego Fagundez – The ex-Austin FC player takes up shop on the left-wing in Joseph Paintstil’s absence.
