X reacts to Erling Haaland becoming a playable Clash of Clans character

Yes, you read that right, Manchester City superstar Erling Haaland is coming to Clash of Clans.

The former Borussia Dortmund striker is set to feature in another video game other than EA Sports FC in the popular Clash of Clans mobile game that boasts roughly 100 million players on a monthly basis.

There appeared to be no real indication that the Norwegian was going to appear in the popular game. However, when it was announced, plenty of jokes were made on X as Haaland becomes the first-ever person to have his own character in the game.

It’s been said that Haaland himself reached out to form this unique partnership as he’s been playing the game for over a decade.

One X user was neither a fan of the Premier League or Clash of Clans but was still in awe of the collaboration.

However, another user was puzzled by Haaland’s inclusion in the game — which probably better represent the general reaction after the announcement.

If you happen to be an avid Clash of Clans player that wants to use Haaland in Clash of Clans, then look no further.

Starting May 1, Haaland will be a playable character in the game and will remain in Clash of Clans through May 31. Should you choose to play as Haaland, you’ll also receive fresh soccer skins to liven up your warriors.

Haaland is set to join the game as a Barbarian King skin and while it hasn’t been confirmed yet, it’s expected that he’ll be available via the Gold Pass at the beginning of the new season, which will run you $6.99.
