Brentford vs Man Utd: Preview, predictions and lineups
Manchester United return to action after the March international break with a Premier League clash against struggling Brentford on Saturday night.
Erik ten Hag’s side have not played since the dramatic 4-3 FA Cup quarter-final win against Liverpool and spirits will be high as they seek to keep their slim hopes of Champions League qualification alive.
Brentford enter this fixture off the back of some terrible form, having lost five of their last six Premier League games. Defeat to Burnley before the international break set alarm bells ringing in the fan base as the Bees edge closer and closer to the bottom three.
Here’s 90min’s preview of Brentford vs Man Utd in Gameweek 30.

The suspended Sergio Reguilon will not face the team he played for in the first half of the season after his red card against Burnley. Keane Lewis-Potter is expected to take his place at left-back.
Reguilon is one of many key Bees players absent, joining Kevin Schade, Ben Mee, Rico Henry, Josh Dasilva and Aaron Hickey on the sidelines.
Thomas Frank could also still be without Christian Norgaard and Ethan Pinnock.
Brentford predicted lineup vs Man Utd (3-5-2): Flekken; Jorgensen, Collins, Ajer; Roerslev, Janelt, Onyeka, Jensen, Lewis-Potter; Mbeumo, Toney.
Amad Diallo was the man of the moment when he scored the winner against Liverpool but was shown a second yellow card for taking his shirt off in the celebrations and is suspended here.
Luke Shaw, Anthony Martial and Tyrell Malacia are certainly out of contention, while late decisions will have to be made on a host of players such as Harry Maguire, Casemiro, Lisandro Martinez, Altay Bayindir and Jonny Evans.
If Casemiro is out, Scott McTominay is expected to start alongside Kobbie Mainoo in midfield.
Man Utd predicted lineup vs Brentford (4-2-3-1): Onana; Dalot, Varane, Lindelof, Wan-Bissaka; Mainoo, McTominay; Garnacho, Fernandes, Rashford; Hojlund.
Man Utd, buoyed by the win over Liverpool, are undoubtedly favourites to take all three points on Saturday evening, with a few important players returning from injury.
Add into the mix that Brentford can’t seem to buy a win and this one should only go in one direction.
That said, Ten Hag’s side are the masters of inconsistency and it would not be surprising to see a more turgid performance, even if it still results in a win.
