2022/23 Europa Conference League final tickets: Information for West Ham vs Fiorentina fans
The second-ever Europa Conference League final will be contested by West Ham and Fiorentina, meaning we could see its first English winner or the trophy could remain in Italy.
It was a dramatic set of semi finals as the two sides qualified for the showpiece, which will be held in Prague.
Neither Fiorentina or West Ham have won one of the existing European trophies before. Fiorentina won the European Cup Winners‘ Cup in 1961 and West Ham triumphed in the same tournament in 1965, as well as the Intertoto Cup in 1999.
Here is all the ticket information Fiorentina and West Ham fans need to know ahead of the final.
The Europa Conference League final will be played at Eden Arena in Prague. The stadium is home to Czech side Slavia Prague and located around 45 minutes on foot from the city centre.
The match will kick off at 21:00 CEST on Wednesday 7 June 7. That means the game will start at 20:00 in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
In terms of general tickets for fans who do not wish to be in the allocated area for each team within Eden Arena, the sale has already concluded. It closed on April 28 which means they can now only be found on resale websites where there is a risk of being overcharged dramatically.
There are only 13,000 tickets available for fans overall in the Eden Arena, and the prices for the tickets are as follows:
Category 4: €25
Category 3: €45
Category 2: €85
Category 1: €125
This has become a major bone of contention and there may be a lesson for UEFA to learn here. West Ham and Fiorentina have only been allocated 5,000 tickets each for the final, meaning huge swathes of fans will be disappointed. Fiorentina have an average Serie A attendance this season of 32,000 and West Ham’s is over 57,000.
For West Ham fans, the first job is to register on the UEFA website. Supporters who meet the criteria will be given a unique access code they then use to purchase a ticket on the UEFA website. For fans in the West Ham end, ticket prices are the same as is outlined above, but there are also some restricted view tickets with the following prices:
Category 4: €20
Category 3: €35
Category 2: €65
Category 1: €100
Fiorentina are yet to share any ticketing details for the Europa Conference League final but based on what is happening with West Ham and both Europa League finalists, it will be a very similar system involving access codes.
West Ham enjoyed a perfect start to their Europa Conference League campaign this season as they won all six games in a group containing Anderlecht, Silkeborg and FCSB. A tie against AEK Larnaca awaited them which ended 6-0 on aggregate.
Next up was Gent which saw a tight 1-1 draw in the first leg and then a 4-1 win in London for West Ham. The semi-final was against a talented AZ Alkmaar side and after a 2-1 home win, West Ham won 1-0 in the Netherlands to book their ticket.
Things were not as smooth for Fiorentina at the start of the tournament. Their group contained Istanbul Basaksehir, Hearts and RFS. They came second in the group and had to enter the play-off round.
They had to face SC Braga which seemed like it would be a tough task, but they won the first leg in Portugal 4-0. The tie ended 7-2 on aggregate and they then beat Sivasspor 5-1 on aggregate. An impressive 4-1 win in the first leg against Lech Poznan meant the 3-2 loss in the second didn’t matter and they were into the semi-finals.
They did it the hard way against FC Basel, conceding late on to lose their lead in the first leg before then scoring in the 129th minute in Switzerland to win the tie 4-3.
