Arsenal can notch up a WSL-record 13th consecutive win on Sunday evening should they take all three points against West Ham at Meadow Park.

The Gunners have won four from four this term and are yet to concede a goal. Their win against Liverpool last time out was their 12th in a row in the WSL.

Arsenal face a West Ham side who have quickly found their feet under new boss Paul Konchesky, winning three of their first five league games – including their most recent two outings.

Centre backs Leah Williamson and Rafaelle both remain sidelined with foot injuries for the Gunners, with Lotte Wubben-Moy and Steph Catley deputising at centre half in the WSL. Jen Beattie made her first start of the season in the heart of the backline against Zurich on Thursday evening.

Jonas Eidevall made seven changes to his starting XI for Arsenal’s recent Champions League outing, with Mana Iwabuchi and Jordan Nobbs impressing in particular following their introductions into the side. It will be interesting to see whether Eidevall sticks or twists against West Ham.

Arsenal (4-3-3): Zinsberger; Maritz, Wubben-Moy, Catley, McCabe; Walti, Little, Nobbs; Mead, Blackstenius, Foord.

Jess Zui remains a long term absentee for West Ham after rupturing her ACL in October. Lucy Parker is currently rehabbing, having sustained a muscle injury before October’s international break.

Lisa Evans could face her former side for the first time following her permanent summer move from Arsenal to the Hammers. She is one of three ex-Gunners in the West Ham squad, alongside youngsters Halle Houssein and Melisa Filis. The pair are both products of the Arsenal youth system.

West Ham (4-3-3): Arnold; Shimizu, Fisk, Longhurst, Smith; Brynjarsdóttir, Filis, Hayashi; Evans, Asseyi, Kyvag.

Arsenal are in a rich vein of form and can set a new WSL record for longest winning streak in the league’s history should they beat the Hammers on Sunday.

They won’t have it their own way against a West Ham side who have gelled quickly under Konchesky and are renowned for their fast starts to games. However, Arsenal should ultimately have too much quality.

Prediction: Arsenal 3-1 West Ham
