Chelsea and Tottenham meet for the second time in the space of a week in the WSL on Thursday, just four days after playing out a pulsating encounter in the reverse fixture.

Emma Hayes‘ side secured a 3-1 win at The Hive on Sunday, despite playing an hour with 10 players following Ann-Katrin Berger’s dismissal.

Chelsea need another win on Thursday to keep the WSL title race in their own hands, but face a Spurs side who came close to causing an upset on Sunday, and who have already taken points off Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United this season.

When is kick off? Thursday 28 April, 19:45 (BST)
Where is the match being played? Kingsmeadow
TV channel/live stream? Sky Sports Football (UK), FA Player (international)
Highlights? Sky Sports YouTube, FA Player
Referee? Jack Packmann

Ann-Katrin Berger will sit out for Chelsea following her red card against Spurs, with the impressive Zecira Musovic set to return between the sticks.

Niamh Charles and Ji So-yun are doubts having not fully completed training this week, while Fran Kirby remains a long-term absentee with fatigue.

Tottenham will be without Ashleigh Neville through suspension, after the Spurs right back picked up her fifth booking of the season against Chelsea last time out.

Kit Graham continues to miss out for Rehanne Skinner’s side after rupturing her ACL in November. Spurs switched to one up front for the visit of Chelsea last time out with Rachel Williams leading the line solo, and could line up in similar fashion on Thursday.

Chelsea: Musovic; Carter, Eriksson, Bright, Nouwen, Reiten; Ingle, Cuthbert, Fleming; Harder, Kerr.

Tottenham: Korpela; Ale, Bartrip, Schnaderbeck, Zadorsky, Harrop; Addison, Cho, Summanen, Naz; Williams.

How do you prepare to play the same team for a second time in the space of four days? Thursday’s clash is a peculiar fixture and it will be interesting to see whether Hayes or Skinner dramatically change their approach from Sunday’s match.

Chelsea demonstrated incredible resilience to win despite their player deficit in the reverse fixture, and really look to be in their WSL title-winning groove at the moment. Tottenham will frustrate them and prove difficult to beat once more, but Chelsea will find more title-winning spirit and get the job done.

Score prediction: Chelsea 2-0 Tottenham
