Tottenham will look to take another step towards qualifying for the knockout stages of the Europa Conference League when they travel to Slovenia to face NS Mura on Thursday.

Spurs have had some mixed results in Europe’s third-tier competition, winning two of their four games alongside a draw and a loss. However, a victory here could see them reach the preliminary knockout round at the minimum ahead of their final group game against Rennes.

Mura have been in poor form recently, winning just two of their last 11 games. They sit fifth in the Prva Liga and have lost each of their Conference League fixtures so far.

When is kick off? Thursday 25 November, 17:45 (GMT)
Where is the match being played? Fazanerija, Murska Sobota
TV channel/live stream? BT Sport 2 (UK), Paramount (US), DAZN (Canada)
Highlights? BT Sport YouTube channel
Referee? Antonio Emanuel Carvalho Nobre

Mura are expected to be without defender Ziga Skoflek, while Nardin Mulahusejnovic and Amadej Marosa will compete for a starting position up front.

Marosa is the club’s top scorer so far this season with five goals, while Mitja Lotric and Kai Cipot have also grabbed three strikes each.

Cristian Romero is both suspended and injured and will miss out, while there are also doubts over Giovani Lo Celso’s fitness.

Oliver Skipp, who was suspended for the weekend victory over Leeds, could come into central midfield, where Tanguy Ndombele may also feature.

Antonio Conte has confirmed Ryan Sessegnon will start, while there could also be spots for Matt Doherty and Steven Bergwijn.

NS Mura: Obradovic; Kous, Karamarko, Marusko, Karnicnik, Sturm; Pucko, Lorbek, Horvat, Lotric; Marosa.

Tottenham: Gollini; Tanganga, Sanchez, Rodon; Doherty, Skipp, Ndombele, Sessegnon; Lucas, Kane, Bergwijn.

Mura and Tottenham hadn’t crossed paths before this season. In the earlier game between the two in the group, Spurs dispatched of Mura 5-1.

They weren’t particularly impressive, only being 2-1 up by the hour mark before Harry Kane was dragged off the bench and scored a hat-trick.

Mura’s Prva Liga title defence has not gone well in recent weeks and they are currently 11 points behind league leaders Koper.

Spurs have started life under Conte well and produced a stirring comeback to beat Leeds on Sunday, with goals from Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Sergio Reguilon moving them up to seventh in the Premier League.

Mura have scored just twice in the Europa Conference League group stage so far, have conceded ten and have no chance of qualifying for the latter stages of the competition.

With rotation likely, it probably won’t be the most free-flowing performance from the visitors, but they should still be able to carve out enough chances to secure victory in Slovenia.

Prediction: NS Mura 1-3 Tottenham
