LA Galaxy predicted lineup vs Chicago Fire – MLS
LA Galaxy return to action this weekend to take on Chicago Fire at Soldier Field in Major League Soccer action.
The Galaxy have returned to winning ways after failing to claim victory in five-straight league matches with wins over Texan club Houston Dynamo and FC Dallas. Star midfielder Riqui Puig was on point in both matches, notching goals in back-to-back games to propel his team to much-needed wins.
LA head coach Greg Vanney typically sticks to his 4-3-3 setup that has brought the Galaxy some success in the 2024 MLS season. Vanney will likely stick to his guns once more this weekend as the Gs look to climb into first place with a win over Chicago and a little help from Austin FC in their match against Real Salt Lake.
Here’s how the Galaxy could take the pitch vs the Fire.
GK: John McCarthy – The experienced goalkeeper starts in between the sticks, looking to keep just his third clean sheet of the season.
RB: Miki Yamane – Yamane gets the nod at right-back and will hope to build off his solid outing vs Dallas.
CB: Maya Yoshida – He’s coming off one of his strongest performances of 2024 despite picking up a yellow card in the process.

CM: Gaston Brugman – The Galaxy’s No. 5 returns to the lineup after being given a rest last time out.
